Mid-Autumn Festival: A Joyful Reunion – Celebrating Childhood Memories

The Property Management Teams collaborated with Developers, the Building Owner’s Committee, and partners to organise the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024, aiming to bring a vibrant festive atmosphere and unique cultural experiences to residents and tenants at Savills-managed projects. Let’s look back at the remarkable moments from the event in the article below.

In the Vietnamese culture, the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Reunion Festival, is an occasion for family members to gather and create cherished memories. Mid-Autumn Festival feasts have slightly changed as time passes, modern life takes its course, and the games have become more diverse. However, the core values of generational bonding and the childhood memories of family reunions remain unchanged. The theme “Reunion Mid-Autumn - Childhood Memories” allowed children and adults to experience childhood reunion memories stations that blend traditional Mid-Autumn Festival beauty with a modern touch, coming together to celebrate the Reunion Festival fully.

On-site Savills Management Teams collaborated with Developers, Building Owner’s Committees, and partners such as Le La Workshop, Chippi & Co, and MyGym Vietnam to organise a series of experienced workshops in making traditional Mid-Autumn toys from past generations, a new look through the creative lens of the modern younger generation. Some notable workshops included painting paper masks, sculpting traditional Mid-Autumn figurines, and crafting star lanterns.

The event evoked memories of childhood Mid-Autumns filled with simple yet colourful toys while providing meaningful moments of interaction and connection within the community.

Additionally, the event centred around the image of the full, bright Mid-Autumn moon, a symbol of family reunion and completeness and an iconic feature of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Along with the traditional Mid-Autumn toys, the projects’ common areas were decorated with the central full moon image – the timeless symbol of togetherness during the Mid-Autumn Festival. In a space filled with festive colours, residents, tenants, and their families and colleagues captured memorable moments, fostering connections and sharing the joy of this celebration.

Ms Vu Kieu Hanh, Director of Property Management at Savills Ha Noi, shared, "A cohesive and civilised community is key to fostering a healthy and sustainable living environment. Savills always works closely with Developers and Building Owners' committees to develop well-structured plans for organising community events and activities tailored to the specific characteristics of each project and the desires of the resident community. This helps to enhance the living and working experience for our customers, thereby building happy and sustainable communities at Savills-managed projects.”
