Savills Hotels is pleased to announce the successful sale of the Yandina Hotel, located at 1 Stevens Street, Yandina, together with the adjoining block at 3 Conn Street, Yandina. The deal was negotiated by Kath Brassington, Associate Director, and Leon Alaban, Head of Hotels - National, marking an exciting new chapter for one of Queensland’s most historic pubs.

Occupying a prominent 3,003sqm corner site with three street frontages, the Yandina Hotel is strategically positioned in Yandina, a hinterland town within the Sunshine Coast Region approximately 110km north of Brisbane*. The hotel presents meaningful expansion potential (STCA) and benefits from excellent prominence within the township, supported by strong underlying business fundamentals that reinforce its long-term investment appeal.

The transaction was conducted through a discreet off-market process, presented exclusively to a carefully selected and pre-qualified group of prospective buyers. This targeted approach ensured strong, genuine engagement from groups with a clear alignment to the asset, ultimately contributing to a streamlined and efficient sale outcome.

Kath Brassington Associate Director, Hotels, at Savills Australia and New Zealand, commented: “This transaction highlights the depth of demand for quality south-east Queensland pubs. The Hotel’s combination of heritage charm, substantial landholding and strategic position in a high-growth corridor ensures enduring investor appeal and clear upside potential.”

Established in 1888 and relocated to its current site in 1891, the Yandina Hotel has served the community for more than 135 years. Today, the venue blends heritage character with modern operations and delivers multiple income streams through a comprehensive range of facilities: a public bar, an all-day bistro flowing to a landscaped beer garden, a gaming room with 23 EGMs, two detached bottle shops, and well-presented accommodation rooms on the upper level. The business benefits from a diversified trade mix, combining strong retail performance with excellent weekend transient trade generated by visitors to the region, and is further underpinned by strong support from the local community.

Leon Alaban, National Head of Hotels at Savills Australia and New Zealand, said: “Pubs in South-East Queensland remain tightly held assets, with very limited supply coming to market. This scarcity continues to fuel competition among both local and interstate groups, many of whom are actively seeking high-quality opportunities such as the Yandina Hotel. Demand for established, well-performing venues in strategic locations has remained consistently strong, underpinning robust buyer sentiment across the sector.”
