The transaction, which was consummated for c. S$40mil, gives Savills Singapore 70% ownership, with Alpina’s founders, Mr Low Siong Yong and Mr Tai Yoon On, retaining the remaining 30% stake.
Under the leadership of Mr Low and Mr Tai, Alpina has built a strong reputation for delivering large-scale Mechanical & Electrical (“M&E”) projects with precision and reliability. Their expertise, combined with Savills’ integrated approach and proprietary technology, will enable the business to meet evolving client demands and regulatory requirements.
Marcus Loo, CEO of Savills Singapore: “This acquisition is a cornerstone of our strategy to build a resilient, recurring revenue business. By integrating Alpina’s technical capabilities with Savills’ property and facilities management expertise, we are creating a market-leading platform that sets new standards for service delivery and sustainability.”
Over the years, Savills has strategically invested to build an integrated ecosystem that combines property management, facilities management, and technical services with advanced energy and sustainability solutions. The acquisition of Alpina strengthens this platform by adding deep expertise in M&E engineering, which complements Savills’ existing capabilities, including its Energy & Sustainability Management (“ESM”) business. The Savills ESM team has developed a scalable and interoperable building management system, designed to capture real-time building performance, optimise energy consumption, and deliver predictive insights for sustainability compliance across client portfolios.
Chris Marriott, CEO of Savills SE Asia: “Alpina accelerates our regional ambition to deliver the most comprehensive integrated platform in the Asia Pacific. By consolidating Integrated Facilities Management, Property Management, and Facilities Services capabilities , we provide clients with certainty, governance, and performance at scale. This positions Savills as the benchmark for accountable, end-to-end delivery in a market where complexity and compliance are critical.”
In 2022, Savills acquired Absolute Maintenance Services (AMS), a company that provides innovative cleaning and sanitising solutions, utilising autonomous robots and IoT sensors. And earlier this year, Savills appointed Cheng Su Chen as Group Managing Director to lead and scale its property and facilities management businesses. Su Chen chairs the Savills PM & FM Board, driving Savills’ ambition to deliver integrated solutions that combine operational excellence with sustainability-driven innovation.
Mr Low, Co-Founder of Alpina Holdings: “Joining Savills marks an exciting new chapter for Alpina. Our expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering and integrated building services, combined with Savills’ scale and vision, creates a powerful platform to serve clients with greater depth and capability.
