Resort properties, also known as second or holiday homes, have become one of the newest investment trends in Vietnam. With prime locations, adjacent to beaches and ecological areas, this property type attracts buyers seeking value appreciation, high liquidity and for some projects – an annual gross return on investment up to 8-10%.

To gauge market responsiveness, last July and August, Savills held several events to bring investors closer to a wide range of resort properties. The first event, “Your Second Home Investment Opportunity,” took place on the 7th of September in Vung Tau.
Savills invited attendants to consultation regarding appropriate financial solutions and the projects matching their requirement. In support, Savills supplied valuable insights on the current status of the real estate market and forecast for the future.
Following the success of the event in Vung Tau, Savills took “Your Second Home Investment Opportunity” on the road to Nha Trang from the 21st to 23rd of July. While entirely different provinces and cities, what was readily apparent from both events, was that those in attendance were hungry for good information from a reputable source.

Back on the road, Savills pushed further north to the most liveable city in Vietnam to host “Danang Sales Week” in August. Throughout the course of a week, Savills introduced both international and domestic buyers to several outstanding projects, including The Ocean Estates Villas and The Ocean Suites Condominiums, Luxury Apartment of Alphanam and Angsana Residences Lang Co Condominiums of Banyan Tree Group.
Along with the inauguration of Savills Danang office, events like these increase the visibility of the Danang property market and create a foundation from which Savills to better serve buyers and developers in taking advantage of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam.
These events have shown that, while resort properties are increasingly common, many end-users and investors lack access to the type of information making purchasing decisions actionable. Savills will continue to introduce other potential investment opportunities and spread access to the best information and insights in the market.
